Still Meadows
Still Meadows is inspired by the beauty and simplicity found in Loudoun’s countryside. I painted the original painting outside, at Meadowkirk Retreat Center, during freezing winds and with numb fingers. I remember exploring the entire property looking for a place to paint, and as soon as I saw the still meadow before me, I knew it would be my next painting. Despite feeling frozen, this painting was a joy to work on. From the tranquil hay bales, to the autumn hued trees, I hope Still Meadows takes you to the beautiful meadow I saw, and that it fills your home with beauty and peace.
