Majesty at Meadowkirk
This painting is inspired by Meadowkirk Retreat Center in Middleburg, VA. I was able to go and explore the landscape during the peak of autumn. This little pond was tucked in behind a hill and hardly visible from the path. Upon finding it, I set up my easel and began painting the beautiful colors of fall. There is something so enchanting as an artist to paint at the actual scene of your painting. The colors are always different and richer in person.
